The Conscious Palette

The Conscious Palette

The most enduring home palettes draw from natural sources of earth, stone, wood, water and sky. These colours age gracefully, work across seasons, and create visual coherence connecting rooms to the natural world.

Room-by-Room Palette Guide

·       Living Room: Build from a warm off-white or sand base. Layer depth through textiles and wood tones such as sage, slate, raw clay, warm ochre.

·       Dining Room: Tolerates darker tones beautifully in the evening. Deep forest green, charcoal, earthy terracotta work well, particularly in Marimekko textiles.

·       Bedroom: Lean toward the quietest natural spectrum. Warm white walls, linen bedding in undyed tones, lighter wood species like birch or ash.

·       Kitchen: Let natural materials drive the palette with unlacquered brass, matte black hardware, raw ceramic, butcher block. Materials that develop patina.
