Pappelina was founded in Sweden in 1999 when designer Lina Rickardsson returned home from the United States to pursue her passion for weaving. What began as a creative pursuit soon evolved into a successful business. The name Pappelina is a playful combination of Lina and the materials used in her first creations, paper and linen reflecting the brand's innovative spirit and Swedish design heritage.
